Wondershare Video Converter Ultimate converts
videos between a multitude of formats and exports them to chosen
devices. Version 7.0 corrects bugs related to Web downloading errors and
adds support for a large number of smartphones and tablets.
Speedy conversions: We managed to convert five minutes of SD MP4 files in just 15 seconds, while a feature DVD film was ripped and converted to a Samsung Galaxy S3-compatible format in 1h 30min on a basic dual core laptop. The conversion times, while not the fastest, are comparable to those of other video apps.
Nice editing features: Although basic, the editing features are well designed and do not feel like an afterthought. Details like the watermark make the app suitable for Web video work.
Price: At $59.95 we are at the more expensive end of video conversion applications. Given that virtually all the features are available in freeware and Web-based apps, we feel that Wondershare is positioning itself out of the market here.

Cons
Crashing Android app: We never managed to wirelessly transfer any videos to our Samsung Galaxy S3 as the Wondershare Player app (version 2.6.6) kept crashing at the barcode recognition stage, blocking our smartphone and forcing us to do a complete restart.Price: At $59.95 we are at the more expensive end of video conversion applications. Given that virtually all the features are available in freeware and Web-based apps, we feel that Wondershare is positioning itself out of the market here.
Bottom Line
With its broad format support and super practical user interface, Wondershare Video Converter Ultimate deserves to be called a good video converter, especially since it includes basic editing and authoring, DVD burning, and downloading from popular video streaming Web sites.
